BioChain's Sprague Dawley or Wistar rat normal multiple frozen tissue panels are designed for studying tissue specific cellular localization of genes or proteins of interest in different rat tissues. 8 different frozen tissues are mounted on positively charged glass slides. Total RNA Northern Blots are available in the identical format, and cDNA from those tissues may also be available for PCR detection.

Whole brain segmentation panels are designed for study whole brain of small animals. The animals' whole brain was procured intact and was sliced into 6 equal coronal regions. Each region is 2 mm thick. The 6 regions were embedded in the same OCT block. The frozen section panel cut from this block can enable scientists or research investigators do biochemical analysis, such as the determination of neurotransmitter and metabolite concentrations for reproducible brain regions (i.e. discrete terminal fields or nuclei).

The tissues are immediately put in liquid nitrogen after being excised, and then identified by a board-licensed pathologist. Patient demographic and disease related history data are available. BioChain's Frozen Tissue Panels are manufactured using high-quality tissues. 5 to 8 different tissues are mounted on a modified glass slide after preparation with proprietary techniques. Each section is approximately 5 um thick. H.E. staining, immunostaining, and in situ hybridization with proliferating cellular nuclear antigen (PCNA) antibody and P53 gene probe ensure the quality of tissue panels. It is an ideal product for rapid cellular localization of RNA and protein expression.
